Herdwick sheep are a hardy breed that seem to be found everywhere in the Lake District. They stare down intruders until they decide they're not a threat and then continue eating.

I recently reworked this painting after starting it about 30 years ago.

Although Dartmoor is the location of one of the UK's most infamous prisons, the sheep are free to wander wherever the want.

This painting was done for 

the horse’s owner in the UK.

I like the calm atmosphere in the stable, 

so I wanted the horse‘s home to be as important as the animal itself.

On river street there's no shortage of places to stop, take a break and watch the ships make their way along the Savannah River.

The heritage buildings on river street 

are required to maintain their original characteristics.

The old architecture makes for some interesting backdrops to the people as they go about their day.
